Ian Summers started bowhunting in 1987; more than 30 years ago and has been an avid bowhunter ever since. He’s a very competitive archer and bowhunter who has taken countless 3DAAA and ABA State championships and is a 3-time 3DAAA Australian Titles Winner as well as being a 4-time Shooter of the year.
He now runs his own business, Summers Archery Solutions, as one of Australia’s leading bow technicians providing Australian archers with tuning and coaching services and creating the #betterpress.
He is a co-owner of Kayuga Broadheads and creator of the upcoming signature series ZOT Broadhead.
Ian has guided hunts for Kayuga Adventures during the hunting season in Cape York.
Ian was the President of Manly Warringah Field Archers for 3 years.
He was on the Victorian committee for ABA as a measurer and proficiency certificate instructor for 7 years. Ian has taken Master Bowhunter in ABA and also taken 16 30 points or better boars which, to his knowledge, no other bowhunter has achieved.
